"Our research work deals with the relationships between the literature aimed at teenagers and disease issues, in narratives written by French and German contemporary authoresses. These writers relate sick people’s inner voicing, the anguish when facing the fear of death and their suffering confronted with their perceptions of the devastation of their bodies.The point is to examine the varied topical statements linked with the literary treatment of AIDS, the perceptions of the side effects of HIV, their manifold instances and death. We also analyse the impacts which affect mostly young people such as anorexia and bulimia. Our reading of literary works is varied as we use conceptual and analytical grids borrowed from various disciplines and approaches, literary criticism being just one of them". - Abstract
