“One of the initial difficulties was determining and explaining the “object” (what are we talking about?), without incurring in one more abasing swarm of words. We concluded then, that it would be preferable to give voice – in a variety of perspectives – to somebody who dedicates or had professionally dedicated to treating patients with physic and/or moral untold pain. And by inviting ethicists that come from a philosophy background to introduce present-day issues, as well as robust and/ or evident arguments about suffering and pain”. - author’s introduction.
