" Contar (com) a Medicina gathers a set of predominantly fictional texts, translated from German, French, and English, but also from Spanish and Swedish, mostly concerning authors of the 20th century, and in relation with medicine. The texts are preceded by an introductory note, which offers a framework for the text, as well as keywords.

The anthology is organized in three sections entitled Doentes, Cuidadores and Família, in accordance with the perspective of who lives and who describes or reflects about illness and health, the perception of the body, the word and the silence, the relationship between doctor/patient, the scientific knowledge, and human contact on the interface of technique and ethics".
