[POSTPONED] The 2020 Narrative Medicine Summer School

The Summer School in Narrative Medicine is promoted by the Project in Medical Humanities (University of Lisbon School of Arts and Humanities - FLUL/University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies - ULICES) and is an advanced education and training activity. It includes a range of diverse training activites (interdisciplinary course, seminar, workshops), while at the same time it offers discussion and dissemination forums (lectures, films, debates, etc.) and enables and encourages meeting and interaction among participants. It functions in connection with other related initiatives (colloquiums, film cycles, and others), so as to open the range of opportunities to the participants and allow them, in just one trip to Lisbon, to take part in several different events.
Due to its practical and interdisciplinary approach, the Summer School contributes to spread the field of Narrative Medicine, in which ULICES has been a pioneer and leading agent in Portugal and abroad, through the Project in Medical Humanities. This Summer School is aimed in particular, but not exclusively, at students and professionals in the health care area, as well as students and scholars from the Humanities and the Social Sciences.
